New Delhi: Former Australia cricket captain Ricky Ponting has predicted the result of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test series between India and Australia in November. Australian legend Ricky Ponting has predicted Australia’s 3-1 series win against India in the upcoming edition of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy starting on November 22.

Ricky Ponting has predicted that Australia has a chance to prove itself in the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy. India managed to beat Australia 2-1 in 2018-19 and 2020-21. Australia has not won any Test series against India since 2014-15.
Ponting said in the ICC review, “It’s going to be a tough series. I think Australia has a good chance to prove itself against India in Australia, because what has happened here in the last two series depends on this. “This series is also special in the sense that five Test matches will be played in it. On the last few occasions only four Test matches were played.
Australia described as a contender for victory
Ricky Ponting said, I think everyone is excited about the five Test matches and I don’t think many matches will be drawn during this series.” Ponting further said, “I consider Australia as a contender for victory. I will never bet against Australia. Some matches can be drawn and the weather can also be bad in some matches. That’s why I predict Australia’s victory by 3-1.”
